I take my experience, my feelings, my hopes, fears, thoughts, desires, grief, plans, ideas, questions… and I synthesize and make something from them, like dreams or poetry, but with paint. With color, shape and movement. Rather than painting a sunset, the ocean, or a moment, I paint what things feel like and acknowledge that everything is always shifting and becoming, never just one solid thing.

artist statement
I am continually exploring the notion of impermanence, inspired by waves and tides, the rapidly changing sky at sunset, the way light and wind dance over and through everything. Ephemeral natural forces echo to me the shifting nature of emotion, memory, and ideas, as well as life itself. Working primarily in fluid mediums, I follow an intuitive process that allows me to embody my own undulations while I paint, reveling in the movement of the materials and playing between wet and dry, opaque and transparent, fast and slow.
The evolution of my work came during a time of profound grief. In that space of surrender, a door within me opened, allowing something deeper to be expressed.
Informed by my work with Family Constellations, at times, the gestures and movements within a painting feel like constellations themselves, arrangements of feeling, memory, and connections that can subtly shift and heal through attention and expression.
My hope is that viewers find a sense of spaciousness and a place to feel something within themselves held, reflected, and potentially, moved.
