The weight of the sun - poster prints
The sunset heals me, sometimes by a little, sometimes by a lot. I can not measure its weight but I can feel it sinking below the horizon. I can measure the time it takes to go down, in minutes or in steps along the shore. Sunset time changes drastically as seasons spiral forward, and I try to collect as many as I possibly can.

I take my experience, my feelings, my hopes, fears, thoughts, desires, grief, plans, questions… and I synthesize and make something from them, like dreams or poetry, with paint. With color, shape and movement. Rather than painting a sunset, the ocean, or a moment, I try to paint what things feel like and acknowledge that everything is always shifting and becoming, never just one solid thing.
